AIM recently embarked on another joint venture into the EU when we were approached by long-term client River Island to provide a service solution for stores located in Holland that were being managed by the FM team in the UK. The London based FM team felt there was room for improvement in quality control, communication and transparency of service delivery and costs and so reached out to AIM's Senior Management Team.
Having developed a service model for national and international delivery via service partnership over the past 10 years in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and most recently in Paris, AIM's Managing Director began searching for potential partners based in Holland with whom they could form an effective, trustworthy and long-term partnership. In February 2018 AIM we were pleased to find such a company and appointed Schoonkantoor as their newest service partner.
Schoonkantoor delivers daily cleaning, window cleaning and washroom services for on AIM's behalf and are now fully integrated into their contract management system via cloud technology. That gives the UK based Support Team along with River Island complete oversight of quality audits, service requests and the day to day activities associated with the contract and is all produced and updated in real time.
To manage and implement a service partner to work with AIM involves a great deal of investment including time spent procuring suitable partners, benchmarking service and costs, managing risk and integrating the service delivery model. To ensure the success of this type of project it was important that various members of the AIM team visited Schoonkantoor and the River Island stores in Holland including Senior Management, Service Managers, Support Team and IT staff.
The FM Team now have a single point of contact, effective communication, control of service delivery and quality, along with transparency that will allow them to spend more time to focus on their business.
A big thank you to everyone involved.
