On Friday morning 23rd February, our AIM Team braved the freezing cold weather and cleaned all the windows at Ronald McDonald House in London.
Evelina House is a purpose-built 59-bedroom Ronald McDonald House, part of the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
The House is a free ‘home away from home’ for the families of children being treated in the Hospital. The House, which opened in December 2016, can accommodate around 975 families a year and is just a five-minute walk to the Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
It was a pleasure to be able to support Richard and his team at RMHC in London who do an outstanding job caring for and supporting families in need.
Richard said, “I can’t thank you enough for the work you all put in this morning, and yes we are delighted with the results […] I just want to add, we found all your staff to be so nice and happy, you have a great team there. For so many of you to put other commitments to one side and make such a difference today was so kind of you all. I am looking forward to the next sunny day to appreciate how clean our windows are.”
If you want to support the work of Evelina House consider donating an item from their Amazon Wishlist. Just like your own home, over time items get worn or damaged, the House has chosen specific items that they need to help ensure they are delivering a comfortable place for families with children in hospital.
