IHS MARKIT is a leading global provider of financial information services and occupy 89250 sq. ft. of office space over three floors. AIM Commercial Cleaning was invited to tender for the cleaning services and after a successful bid was awarded the contract.
Low staff morale, poor training and no reliable management back up were just some of the challenges our operations team inherited. Operatives were allowed to come and go as they pleased with no responsibility taken for the quality outcome, staff did not wear uniforms or correct PPE.
During the first 12 weeks AIM implemented changes to the cleaning regime including new shift patterns, introduction of a fixed start time along with daily meetings to discuss key tasks for the day, cleaning rotas were introduced making the team work closer together to produce a much higher quality outcome and all operatives received a training schedule and the supervisors achieved IOSH qualification.
Quality was lifted and morale restored, the client has just renewed for another year.
